Training courses in the field of gastronomy
As a part of the project that supports development of the regional tourism offer of Šumadija and Pomoravlje, three trainings in the field of modern gastronomy were held:
- Modern Šumadija cuisine with aesthetics, on September 15 and 16
- Training of bartenders and application of domestic brandy, liqueur and juice producers in making modern cocktails, on September 22 and 23, and
- Principles of creating and developing a healthy menu in the modern catering offer of Šumadija and Pomoravlje, on September 29.
The participants learned or improved their knowledge about what modern cuisine is, what are the basic principles of creating a modern dish, the reconstruction of traditional dishes served in a modern way, the use of new cooking techniques and the use of modern gastronomic appliances in order to follow current world trends in gastronomy and the basics of aesthetics on the plate.
The preparation of bar mixes or cocktails combining domestic and foreign drinks, their serving and decoration using different glasses, shakers, blenders and mixing glasses were the basis of the second training.
At the third training, the theme was how the local gastronomic offer can be given a new dimension, by forming a menu that consists of healthy local food with a focus on small producers who produce healthy food.
In addition to professional chefs, waiters and bartenders, the participants were also students of the secondary tourism school TUŠ Toza Dragović from Kragujevac. The trainers were renowned experts in the field of gastronomy.
