Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje has developed the Study on possibilities of establishment of the Fund for human resources development on the territory of Sumadija and Pomoravlje region. The activity has been implemented within the SeeNet Programme, Action 3.B. – Strengthening of the system of small and medium enterprises.

On the regional level there are many stakeholders and actors on the labour market who can contribute to employment and human resources development.  The effects of their initiatives and activities may be multiplied if partnerships are established with the goal of finding solutions to the problems of unemployment.

Through analysis of the condition of human resources on the territory of the region, it could be established that the fact that there is no adequate mechanism for promotion of competitiveness of labour is one of the weaknesses in the territory development processes, as well as that foundation of such mechanism is one of the strategically important activities and that should be directly supported by the regional stakeholders.

This study on the establishment and relevance of the Fund for human resources development could help the potential partners to recognize the Fund as the potential mechanism of support. Foundation of the Fund enables the partners to concentrate on those activities which have capacity of attracting finances, and to have impact on target groups and organisations.
