REDASP awarded at the First World Forum of Local Development Agencies
It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje received a unique award for its work in the First World Forum of Regional Development Agencies, held in Seville from October 4th `till October 8th 2011.
Within the ART GOLD program, partnerships and cooperation were established between the two largest global networks of development agencies EURADA and ILS LEDA. Among other initiatives, it was agreed that the ILS LEDA network members build criteria and set standards in the work prescribed by EURADA for its membership.
After the process of analysis of the fields of work, results and performance indicators, which lasted for several months, in which participated all member agencies of ILS LEDA world association, the member of which Regional Agency has been since 2006, it was determined that our organization is the only member of this network whose activities and results fully meet the standards set by EURADA. Certificate of quality of work and verification of compliance with the above parameters was presented by Executive director of EURADA, Mr. Christian Saublens.
The First World Forum of Regional Development Agencies gathered members of the governments, representatives of relevant ministries, heads of regional development agencies and business sector representatives from more than sixty countries around the world. It was the first and unique event aimed at the global level to discuss new perspectives of sustainable territorial development as well as the corresponding role of regional development agencies.
Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and
Pomoravlje, in addition to the award had the honor and
opportunity to be presented in the thematic work shop, entitled
"Local economies of local development and employment:
public-private policies and instruments of local development
agencies." In this way, the model of work, objectives and
environment in which our organization operates were
presented before the global audience.
