By the workshop "The Creative industries - the combination of technology, creativity and innovation to the development" the Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje marked the completion of the project NEXT (Collaborative platform to support research and technology transfer), which is part of the IPA Adriatic Cross Border Cooperation 2007 - 2013.

The workshop was organized by the Regional Agency in Kragujevac, and was aimed to present the NEXT platform as a tool for marketing creative ideas for international cooperation.

In the plenary part of the event the representatives of The Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and Creative Europe Desk Serbia, informed representatives of the sectors of the creative industries about the ways of financing business ideas, and ways to connect with potential partners on an international level.

In the second part of the workshop the participants were divided into working groups for the purpose of taking in consideration of possibility of creating clusters of creative industries in the region.

NEXT project is aimed at creating networks between business, institutional and academic community through a collaborative platform (http://www.nextisplatform.eu/) which connects business, creative creators, researchers, individuals and groups who experiment and create in multidisciplinary and multicultural environment for creating innovative products, approaches, processes through a whole set of services.

The project is implemented in partnership of 11 organizations from 6 countries: Italy, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro. Lead partner in the project is the Italian region of Marche, and partner in Serbia is Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje.
