TRAININGS FOR ACCOMMODATION SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR VISITORS AND TOURISTS ON THE TERRITORY OF ŠUMADIJA AND POMORAVJE
In the period from February to April 2022, two sets of trainings was held for providers of tourist accommodation services on the territory of Šumadija and Pomoravlje. The topics of the trainings were: 1) Use of the eTourist system from the user role of Caterer, 2) Financial assistance programs in the field of tourism and 3) Digital marketing for tourism service providers.
Accommodation service providers from the territory of Šumadija and Pomoravlje were able to attend training and direct consultations on the use of the Central Information System - eTourist. The trainings were also attended by those who plan to categorize their facilities and rural tourist households. In cooperation with data processors/ editors from local self-governments, trainings were held in Paracin, Kragujevac, Topola, Arandjelovac, Knić and Ćuprija. In total, over 100 caterers participated. Two online trainings were also organized, for those who could not attend the previous trainings. The trainers were administrators of the eTourist system from the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
The second set of trainings on the topics of support programs and digital marketing was also held for tourism service providers, individuals and legal entities. 5 trainings were held in Kragujevac, Arandjelovac, Ćuprija and Paraćin, and about 80 participants attended.
The main organizers in the municipalities, who identified and invited participants, as well as organized the space and technical support in their municipalities, were the data processors in CIS eTurist. The coordinator of activities in the municipalities of the region was the Regional Agency for Economic Development of Šumadija and Pomoravlje, within the activities of the project "Support to Competitiveness and Tourism Development in Central Serbia - Šumadija and Pomoravlje". The project is being implemented within the broader project "#EUzaTebe - for cultural heritage and tourism" funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ, and implemented by the German Organization for International Cooperation GIZ.
