On Monday, October 15, 2018, in the hotel Kragujevac, 4 thematic workshops were held within the project "Development of the Action Plan for Improvement of the Equitable Access to Water and Sanitation in the region of Sumadija and Pomoravlje". The workshop was organized by the Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje.

During the working session at the initial workshop held on August 15, 2018 in Belgrade, local thematic experts, together with defined working groups, identified priorities within the thematic sections (Management Frameworks for Equal Access to Healthy Drinking and Sewerage Water, Reducing Geographical Differences, Ensuring Access to the Endangered and marginalized groups, Water and Sewer Management so that they remain financially accessible for all).

The aim of the thematic workshops was to identify the necessary interventions through the work with the thematic experts and define measures for improving the situation in a particular area that was considered necessary changes.

Development of the Action Plan for Equal Access is a continuation of the project "Self-assessment of the status of equal access to water and sanitation in the territory of Šumadija and Pomoravlje" realized in the period June-December 2017. During the first phase, more than 80 representatives of key stakeholders in the field of water participated in the preparation of the Report (public, private and civil sector).The goal of developing an action plan to improve the equal access to water and sanitation is to identify:

• Priority measures for addressing identified shortcomings in equal access to water and sanitation,
• Possibilities of incorporating these measures into existing plans and projects, taking into account the current context of national policy.
