The third transnational partner meeting on the project INSiGHTS - Integrated Slow, Green and Healthy Tourism Strategies

In the period from 6th to 9th March 2018, the third transnational walkshop was held in Lenti, Zala County in Hungary.

The thematic meeting, master class, critical classroom and the steering committee meeting were accompanied by a study visit to sites that are characteristic of the potential for the development of an integrated tourist offer, in the concept of slow, green and healthy tourism. Due to its location, after the Second World War, this area was rather isolated and without the development of industry, so there were good conditions for the preservation of traditional culture and gastronomy. In the focus of exchange of experience and knowledge were the topics of IT solutions in the management of the tourist destination. Experienced examples of good practice in the development of tourism offer and products from the existing potentials of otherwise poorly developed areas were: narrow-gauge railway drive, bunker and tractor tours, traditional pottery workshop and Patóhill Winery Village. Owners of private businesses, service providers in tourism and support services have relayed their experience and examples of support and involvement of the local community and local authorities in the development of tourism in the region.

During the work, the first annual review of the project was carried out. All working packages and partners' involvement and realization of activities and results were considered. An agreement was reached on possible improvements, as well as on the next steps on the project.

The Regional Economic Development Agency for of Sumadija and Pomoravlje presented the pilot action and frameworks for the establishment of slow green and healthy tourism centers on the territory.
