On 15 July 2014, in Rekovac municipality, the first working meeting in the process of revision of the existing strategy for the period 2010-2015 was held. Revision will be conducted for the period 2015-2020, sustainable development strategy for the municipality of Rekovac. Members of the working group are representatives of public, private and civil sector, including members of Levac LAG.

At the first meeting, representatives of the  Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje presented the methodology of strategy revision and integration of tools for management of the key problems at the territory of the municipality caused by migration and demographic change. Base for the innovative approach is generated from the project MMWD - “Making Migration Work for Development” on which REDASP is a partner.

Working group members, at this meeting emphasized relevance of revision of the strategic document for Rekovac municipality, due to a significant problems caused by decreasing population and other negative demographic trends. One of the main goals of the strategy will be to create conditions for stay of young people in the municipality.
