Kragujevac from a Different Perspective – A Guided Tour for Šumadija CONNECT Project Participants
As part of the Šumadija CONNECT project, on 30 April 2026,
the Regional Agency organised a guided tour of Kragujevac for students and
teachers from the Faculty of Philology and Arts (FILUM) participating in the
project.
The tour started at the Old Assembly Building, followed by a
visit to the Old Church and “Stara Livnica” Museum. The group then continued to
the Monument to the Fallen Šumadija People, the renovated city market, the
Grammar School and the Knjaževsko-Srpski Teatar (Theatre), before walking along
the main street to the “Štafeta” monument.
The tour guide was a member of the “Putokaz” Association,
which is also a project partner in Šumadija CONNECT. In a professional, dynamic
and engaging way, she presented numerous historical buildings, landmarks and
stories from different periods of the history of Kragujevac and Serbia.
In addition to gaining new knowledge about the city and its
heritage, a particular aim of the tour was to encourage curiosity and
inspiration among students of the arts for their future creative work.
