Held second regional stakeholder group workshop was for development of a sustainable tourism strategy for the territory of Sumadija and Pomoravlje
On December 15, 2017 the second regional stakeholder group workshop was held for development of a sustainable tourism strategy for the territory of Sumadija and Pomoravlje applying the concept of slow, green and healthy tourism as a globally growing tourist demand.
The workshop took place in the rural tourist household of Vladanka Aleksic in Guberevac, Knić municipality, with the participation of representatives of local self-governments, tourist organizations and organizations of sports in nature, preservers of nature and cultural and historical heritage of Sumadija and Pomoravlje, as well as the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, Kragujevac.
The workshop was organized by the Regional Economic Development Agency for Sumadija and Pomoravlje, within the project "Integrated strategies of slow, green and healthy tourism" funded by the European Union within Interreg Danube Program.
This workshop focused on completion of indicators and SWOT analysis and entered the process of formulating the vision for the territory of Sumadija and Pomoravlje as a tourist destination that applies the concept of slow, healthy and green tourism. The methodology and a tool for identifying the specific character of the destination, which were developed by the experts on the project, were used.
In addition, examples of good practice from our region were presented:
- the "The mountain trails of Serbia" project of the organisation Culture Park Kovionica and
- the experience of the rural tourism household who hosted the workshop.
