The process of development of the strategic plan on sustainable development of the Municipality of Batocina startet on 13 August 2014.

In accordance with EU procedures and rules, the goal of the document is to define vision of sustainable development of the municipality, identify strengths and development directions towards sustainable economic growth and employment, social prosperity and reduction of poverty, promotion of innovations, effective environmental protection and overall improvement of life standards of the citizens.

Besides the promotion of cross-sector cooperation and partnership between public, private and civil sectors and institutions, the process will emphasize promotion of the concept established in MMWD project that takes into consideration demographic change and impact of migrations on key development sectors of the territory.

REDASP representative presented demographic structure and projections for the period of next 30 years, based on the data from Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, MMWD methodology and other documents developed during the project.
